I don’t know about you, but I’m terrible about seeing something that needs done, and saying to myself “Ahh, I’ll do that later.” Generally, that translates into “pfff, I might do that a week from now!” Well, that turns into a whole mess of stuff piling up and never getting done, and that just ain’t good. Today marks the start of knocking that crap off.

Laying in bed drifting off to sleep, thinking about the awesome coffee we’re going to have in the morning, I realized we were totally out of roasted beans. Yep, I knew this morning as I was grinding the last of the previous batch that I needed to roast some today. “Ahh, I’ll do it later, I’ve got pleeeenty of time!” Yeah, sure. So, at 12:15 at night, I could either:

1. Sleep now, and resign myself to an uncaffeinated drive in the morning for sub par overpriced coffee, or
2. Cut the “do it later” crap out, put some pants on and roast some coffee.

#2 for the win! So 20 minutes later, I’ve ran about 350g of our excellent Nicaraguan shade grown organic green coffee beans through our air-pop popcorn popper, and there’s some nice medium dark roast coffee off gassing on the counter to be ready in time for tomorrow morning. Not only did I get the coffee made, I quit putting off posting to the blog for another day! K, goodnight!
